I would like to submit my application for Master degree program in Logistics & Supply Chain Management program in Utrecht University.
I have graduated from University of Montenegro from which I received a BSc degree with honors and professional title: Graduated Engineer of Transport and Logistics in the year 2015. Moreover, as you can see in the enclosed resume I have had extensive experience in working for the Japanese ocean container carrier Japan ShipLine, for four years.
Since the sea has always been in the focus of my attention I have decided to develop my career in the shipping industry. This probably originate from my family since both my father and grandfather were sailors, so I have just continued family tradition with more contemporary setting.
I have mastered my English language skills throughout studies and work. A career with Japan ShipLine gave me great job satisfaction and provided me with opportunities for personal development. At this time in my life, and at this point I strive for more challenges and would very much appreciate the opportunity to study at Utrecht University.
In my extensive travels throughout Europe, I one day realized that I would like to study abroad, gain new knowledge and new life experience, learn other cultures, and meet people from other countries. I believe that Utrecht and Holland in general are the best place for studying logistics as it is a great shipping and logistics world center. I believe the Transport & Supply Chain Management program provided by the Utrecht University is an excellent one for me to consider for the continuance of my education. I would like very much to be able to learn new things, familiarize with new educational methods and programs, and to grow as a student and as an individual.
I would also like to bring to your attention that I have completed Erasmus student exchange program in Antwerp, so I have experience in living abroad and acquainting with people coming from different countries and cultures. This experience helped to boost my individual potential and encouraged me to peruse my Master degree studies abroad.
I believe that with my work and studies I have a solid foundation, but through the Master’s program I hope to develop expertise in international studies focusing on the logistics and supply chain management.
Thank you very much for considering my application and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
