With this letter I hereby wish to apply for the position of Coal Miner advertised on the JobsEurope website.

I have recently obtained a Certificate III in Underground Coal Mining Operations at TAFE and am eager to start my career in the mining industry, in particular with a leading company in the industry like James River Coal Company.

During past year, I have had experience working in the mining environment as a trainee with  JimWalter Resources, Inc., a mining and foundations excavation company. Thanks to this experience I was trained to handle large machinery and equipment and drive medium rigid vehicles. During my engagement with this company I have also acquired my MR driver’s license.

Working at JimWalter Resources, Inc., has shown me directly the importance of teamwork in encouraging efficient and effective work, but also in enhancing the safety of each individual. I personally believe that strong teamwork skills I have gained there will help me to be a valuable addition to your enterprise.

As you may note in the enclosed resume, my employment history is closely related to mining – from working in kitchens and on building within mining sites. Bearing in mind this fact I have built awareness towards importance of safety and understanding of safety regulations and compliance. In 2008, I have obtained First Aid Certificate which I renew every year. Working in different environments has also given me a thorough understanding of different workplace safety practices and I aim to utilize this knowledge in every job.

I honestly believe that I am the most suitable candidate for this job placement, as you can see from my attached Resume.
